This article provides some practical suggestions for those
ESL/FL teachers who want to integrate reflection into their
classroom. These suggestions have applicability to all
teachers who wish to use reflection as a formative teaching
strategy. Suggested strategies include prompting students
with "brain-besieging" activities, encouraging hypothesis
formulation, making use of process-oriented activities, and
allowing for the synthesizing of those activities.
