Classmates is a comprehensive content-based English series
for middle school and high school students. The program
offers six levels of instruction in a unique format: four
levels of content-based textbooks are followed by
upper-level sheletered content texts in key subject areas.

Classmates can serve as a stand-alone course or as a
companion to the Side by Side series and other texts. The
mission of Classmates is to help students develop the
English skills they need for success in school -- social
language for interpersonal communication and academic
language for participation in mainstream subject classes.
