The "Flight for Freedom" series, a dynamic information video
library, offers insight into the literacy challenge in
Canada. Flowing from the award winning television special
"Flight for Freedom", the series unfolds both the drama and
achievement experienced by learners. The series includes six
topical videos, each examining the quest for literacy from a
variety of perspectives.

This tape is Supplementary Video 3 (C3), Canada Post and
Literacy... People Meeting the Challenge Together. 

The issue of literacy touches all facets of Canadian
society, including our ability to field a workforce capable
of meeting the increasing demands of international
competition. In this inspiring story, we examine the many
initiatives Canada Post Corporation has taken in support of
literacy -- both within the Corporation and the community.
The results achieved demonstrate how one corporation is
honing the competitive edge of its workforce and our nation
